Ireland Removes Limits On Superstores

Ireland may eliminate its 65,000 s.f. retail size maximum limit so that superstores can be built.

Ikea may build Ireland's first 100m superstore -- five times the maximum allowed size -- the retail limits are lifted: "Swedish superstore Ikea could get permission to open in Ireland within months as Environment Minister Dick Roche is set to amend planning guidelines which restrict the size of shops."
