Why Monorail Isn't A Good Idea

"...when I looked closely at the current Seattle monorail plan, I was shocked. What looked like a good idea at first glance turns out to fail in its design objectives and diverts precious public funds to an outdated technology and away from effective mass-transit solutions.

Also, because of serious financial miscalculations, it is a significantly diminished project, without the commuting capacity backers promised. Perhaps it would be a fun ride, but it will not provide the foundation that our children will need to meet the goals of citywide mobility."
