"The county that grew up with few traditional downtowns and has long been seen as ground zero for urban sprawl appears to be at the forefront of a much different trend.Realizing that cookie-cutter homes in tidy subdivisions could be a thing of the past, Irvine and at least one other nearby city are looking skyward, hoping to create thriving urban cores from scratch."
