Calif. Cabinet Secretary Endorses 'Anti-Dumb Growth'
In June, the SURDNA Foundation, along with the Funders Network for Smart Growth and Livable Communities and the California Center for Regional Leadership, brought together regional, state, and national leaders to discuss their experiences with smart growth policies and practices. The Planning Report is pleased to present this excerpt of a speech given to the conference by Californias Business, Transportation and Housing Secretary Sunne McPeak, in which she addresses the need to follow an anti-dumb growth strategy and to bolster the states investment in infrastructure.
