With the help of Mayor Daley and the Bike Chicago program, cycling has grown considerably the last 10 years in Chicago. "Besides all its bike lanes and paths, Chicago has 9,400 bike racks, morebike racks than any other city in the country... The city has passed a new zoning ordinance requiring bike parking in most new developments. This September, the city plans on celebrating the installation of the 10,000th bike parking rack."
