The mega project will include an airport and links to high-speed rail lines.

A massive transit hub near Warsaw, Poland is set to become “the travel capital of Europe,” according to a report by Kris Boratyn in Express. “The Central Communication Port (CPK), also known as Solidarity Transport Hub, will feature a brand new airport, high-speed rail links, and a massive integrated station connecting air, rail, and road networks.”
The hub, which is expected to open in 2032, is Poland’s most ambitious infrastructure project to date. When complete, the airport is expected to handle roughly 40 million travelers per year, while the transit terminal will be able to process 11,000 passengers per hour. “The airport will be built on a 2,600-hectare greenfield site, twice the size of Heathrow and nearly 20% larger than JFK, making it one of the biggest airports in the world by footprint.”
The project is complemented by a plan to build over 1,200 miles of new high-speed rail in Poland.
