Tactical urbanism isn't just for big cities.

Karen Huppertz reports that the city of Snellville, Georgia has launched a "Tactical Urbanism Program" in an effort to involve more residents and businesses with urban planning.
"The hope is that the program will be community-led, with residents and business owners in the city coming forward to propose projects they feel are necessary and important to the community," writes Huppertz. "The city’s Planning Department will advise and guide the process, but the initiative to create and follow through on an idea begins with residents."
According to Huppertz, the city of Snellville has modeled the Tactical Urbanism Program on a similar program in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
