Park and Ride lots in the East Bay guarantee parking availability for carpooling commuters
Last month a program was expanded to the Concord and Pleasant Hill-Contra Costa BART stations to guarantee parking for commuters who carpool. The program already exists at three other BART stations, including Millbrae, San Bruno and Dublin/Pleasanton.
The parking program is a partnership between BART, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission, and Scoop Technologies. Drivers download the Scoop app, enter their license plate number, and display a placard on their dashboard, allowing them to park in the permit parking area of participating stations.
