A year after news about a new golf course, designed by Tiger Woods at the behest of former President Barack Obama, the project has made little progress.

Teddy Greenstein provides a status update on the project—according to a source on the inside circle of the project, the new golf course is beset by bureaucratic delays. Greenstein lists the many challenges facing the course, including opposition from locals concerned about the potential price of a new course designed and developed by such a star-studded array.

One of the largest challenges for the gold course, according to Greenstein, is the priority granted to the Obama Presidential Center, "being constructed potentially within steps of the first tee at the yet-to-be-named golf course."
