A $988 million bonding bill approved by Minnesota state legislators earlier this year is paying off in funding for affordable housing projects around the state.
The state of Minnesota has announced a $346 million affordable housing package as residents struggle to deal with the rising costs of housing.
The $346 million package includes $126 million allotted to Minnesota Housing Finance Agency to invest in the building or preserving of 1,800 housing units around the state.

"Funding increased in part because of $25 million in state appropriations and $42 million in Housing Infrastructure Bonds in the 2017 state bonding bill, according to Minnesota Housing," explains Johnson.
