Do you love winter? (We do…) Or do you HATE winter, especially in the city, and wish more could be done to make it tolerable, even perhaps FUN?!!…
Well, we have GREAT news no matter where you fall in the love-hate winter spectrum. The Winter Cities Shake-Up is back in February 16 – 18, 2017 in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
In case you missed it the first time (back in 2015), the Shake-Up is a unique international Winter Cities Conference. It’s a gathering of innovative leaders and thinkers, including urban planners and designers, entrepreneurs and business people, cultural and community organizers, and people who live in northern cities and want to take advantage of all winter has to offer.
Conference discussions and presentations will fall under one (or more) of our three Winter Cities Shake-Up pillars:
- Winter Business
- Winter Design
- Winter Culture
We’ll also explore the theme of winter wellness throughout the conference.
The 2017 Conference will feature internationally-renowned winter experts and rising stars. Together we’ll share best practices and brainstorm new ideas for helping winter cities become more liveable, profitable and more fun.
Bring your winter woollies! As a delegate you’ll be venturing out into Edmonton (on a fat bike, skates, or by foot!) for hands-on urban winter experiences. And of course there’ll be lots to eat, drink and do during our not-so-usual outdoor and indoor events!
For more information about the program and registration, please visit http://wintercitiesconference.com/. Registration is now open!
We look forward to seeing you in February!
