Let the year-round party commence.

We missed this news when it broke in June, but The Architect's Newspaper did us all a favor and shared it this week: "Burning Man Festival recently purchased the 3,800-acre Fly Ranch, a not-too-shabby swath of desert in Nevada’s far western Washoe County."
Fly Ranch is located 21 miles north of Gerlach in Washoe County, Nevada. According to a blog post on the Burning Man website, the Fly Ranch purchase will help the event expand to a year-round experiment. "As a year-round site, Fly Ranch has the potential to expand Burning Man Project’s activities and existing programs, as well as amplify Burning Man’s cultural impact into the wider world beyond Black Rock City."
