The Las Vegas City Council will consider a new Downtown Las Vegas Master Plan this week.
John Treanor reports on the ongoing process to draft and approve a new Downtown Las Vegas Master Plan. According to to Treanor the plan "looks to drastically change several sections of Downtown Las Vegas" and is intended as a "'reset' of the current development plan," which stalled during the recent downturn.
The draft master plan totals 300 pages and has a planning horizon of 30 years. The City Council is expected to vote on the plan on June 15.
In an earlier article in the Las Vegas Sun, Jackie Valley provides detailed coverage of the Master Plan when it was released in its final draft form.
