According to U.S. Census data released this month, Millennials now outnumber Baby Boomers, and there are only more Millennials on the way.

Richard Fry writes: "Millennials have surpassed Baby Boomers as the nation’s largest living generation, according to population estimates released this month by the U.S. Census Bureau."
Even though some demographers have pointed out that the largest glut of Millennials have already come of age, representing "Peak Millennial," Fry notes that immigrants are continuing to swell the generational ranks. That is to say, there are still more Millennials all the time. The generation will reach its largest number, according to the Pew Research Center's calculations, in 2036, when there are 81.1 million Millennials living in the United States.
Fry doesn't neglect Generation X and the Baby Boomers—he also writes about what we can expect from the masses of each of those generations deep into the future of the country.
