"The new service is the first product of the E-Gov Alliance, a partnership between Washington cities dedicated to delivering electronic government services to residents and people doing business in those cities through a single, integrated Web site... Officials said their Web site is first in the nation to deliver multiple building permits from different cities all in one transaction. The site offers online purchase of routine electrical, mechanical and plumbing permits that don't require plan reviews and are normally handled over the counter."
