American Planning Association Executive Director Jim Drinan and Congress for New Urbanism President and CEO Lynn Richards made a video announcing a new era of partnership between the two organizations.
Meghan Stromberg writes an introduction to a video featuring American Planning Association Executive Director Jim Drinan and Congress for New Urbanism President and CEO Lynn Richards, in which the two discuss their willingness to partner toward the goal of building great communities.
Stromberg also moderates the discussion in the video below, which touches on subjects including the similarity of interests between the two organizations and some of the areas where APA and CNU could potentially partner.
One particularly telling moment from the discussion occurs about halfway through. "The similarity of the way that both organizations look at what we're trying to achieve in planning is what's more important than whether there are different mechanisms for getting to that end result," says Drinan. To which Richards replies, "Absolutely."
