The Segway Human Transporter devices will be tried by postal workers in six cities around the nation with varying geography and weather.
"For the next eight weeks, a team of postal carriers will zip up and down the hills of Pacific Heights on high-tech, two-wheeled scooters known as Segways. The Postal Service wants to find out if the machines make delivery more efficient on hilly routes."
