Certification in Creative Placemaking - Free online information session May 1st
The Ohio State University
Creative placemaking is a new and fast-growing approach to enhancing community and economic development through arts and culture. The City and Regional Planning section of the Knowton School at The Ohio State University and the National Consortium for Creative Placemaking are now offering an online, 10-month Certification in Creative Placemaking program. Study, watch lectures where and when you want – around your schedule. The curriculum includes six deep learning modules on creative placemaking as well as monthly entrepreneurial leadership sessions. Participants develop the skills and knowledge that clients and communities seek to create structures and programs that integrate the arts into their plans for community development. They gain the expertise in creative placemaking that builds their capacity to lead cost-effective, inclusive and sustainable initiatives. The program is directed by national award-winning urban planner Leonardo Vazquez, AICP/PP, founder of The National Consortium for Creative Placemaking.
