In our increasingly image obsessed world, the art of architectural photography has attained extraordinary currency in communicating and selling design to the public, politicians, and other professionals. Hana Cohn lists the top 25 working today.
"These photographers enable us; they have saved us (amateurs) the countless hours of traveling, searching, and waiting for ideal weather and perfect light," muses Cohn. "The work of these keen eyes abstracts, animates, and valorizes everyday structures—grandeur and benign alike....They privilege us by pointing to beauty in banality, oddity, reality, and sometimes the imaginary, and remind us to meditate on a good building next time we see one."
