The unusual shopping street has a dual purpose. The first is to be a sort of front yard for two Disney theme parks, as well as two Disney-owned hotels, all of which have entrances on the street.The second purpose of Downtown Disney is to be an attraction in its own right. Unlike the theme parks, Downtown Disney is a public street and charges no admission fee."
