From Next100, PG&E's blog:

"The smart grid testing operation is part of the utility's larger San Ramon Technology Center, which houses a variety of technical labs and a wide array of specialized equipment covering everything from acoustical analysis to vibration testing and communications technology.

Its first smart grid project-possibly a first of its kind in the industry-involved the rapid design and construction of a three-circuit simulation to test and evaluate state-of-the-art Fault Location Isolation and Service Restoration (FLISR) systems."
