Arts-Condo Project To Bring Housing To D.C Downtown

A project plans to renovate a nine-story building into condominiums, some of which will be lower-cost units to attract artists.

"As part of its strategy to bring more housing downtown, the D.C. government awarded development rights for the long-vacant Mather Building in the 900 block of G Street NW to local developer PN Hoffman Inc.The team plans to spend about $12 million to renovate the building into about 40 condominiums, plus art-related space."
