Urban Gondola Debuts in Brazil

Steven Dale notes that another urban gondola has opened in Brazil with little to no coverage in the English-speaking press. Dale pieces together what info he can on this new tourist-oriented aerial tram.

Dale writes that "All we do know comes from a few youtube videos and the english translation of the original portuguese wikipedia entry."

Apparently the gondola is 562 meters long and has two stations, which Dale says is surprisingly short. YouTube videos are embedded on Dale's page.

Another video is featured in an article from the Jornal de Noticias, with this translated subtitle:

"Chairlift opens at Gaia until spring

The cable car that connects to the Cais de Gaia Garden Hill is in the testing phase. The JN shows you the first images taken on board, where you see the Douro River from a new perspective."
