Affordable and Sustainable Housing Strategies
HUD USER
As part of HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research, the Regulatory Barriers Clearinghouse (RBC) is a source for information and research regarding affordable housing strategies, and now sustainable housing strategies. The RBC has unveiled a new sustainability component to the website that reinforces HUD's commitment to creating strong, sustainable, inclusive communities and quality, affordable homes for all. The Affordable and Sustainable Housing Strategies, assembles the latest news, research, and other practical resources related to sustainable development, including:
- A sustainable communities database with research reports, ordinances, and statutes addressing coordinated federal, state, and local sustainable planning and development strategies;
- A Highlights section featuring relevant articles on location- and energy-efficient housing from RBC's electronic newsletter, Breakthroughs; and
- Publications available from both HUD's Office of Policy Development and Research and other sources specifically geared for those interested in sustainable development.
