Officials are planning to install a second major separated bike lane in downtown Vancouver. Local business owners are trying to stop them.
"[S]tanding in the way of that ambitious desire of the bike-friendly Vision Vancouver council are the likes of David Prior and John Prebushewski and a number of other business owners and residents.
Prior, owner of Rumours Hair Design, and Prebushewski, an assistant manager at Wyndam Resort, which manages a time-share hotel, worry the proposed lane connecting Burrard Bridge with Coal Harbour will hurt their businesses and their neighbourhood."
If the city council approves the bike lane, it could be built by November.
