Build your expertise in sustainable planning, public participation, urban design or real estate
Rutgers University -- Professional Development Institute
Do you want to build expertise in environmental planning, public participation, form-based codes or real estate development? The Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program can help.
We offer a wide variety of online courses that allow you to share ideas with other professionals while learning at your convenience. The classes are designed to help the best and brightest in our fields get smarter.
In January, the Bloustein Online Continuing Education Program (BOCEP) will offer these Deep Learning (DL) courses:
*Environmental Planning Law
*Form Based Codes Studio
*Introduction to Environmental Planning
*Introduction to Geographic Information Systems
*Planning in the Age of Direct Democracy
Every BOCEP DL course can be credited toward a Certificate of Completion, Master Practitioner Certificate or Expert Practitioner Certificate. All will be submitted for14 AICP Certification Maintenance credits.
BOCEP courses are convenient, interactive and affordable. You can participate at any time over the Internet. You can engage in thoughtful discussions with other practitioners and learners. And you can pay as little as $210 per course. BOCEP DL courses are 5.5 weeks and do more than help you build your skills. Taught at a graduate level, BOCEP DL courses help you think more critically about the topics, so you can be more creative and effective.
How do BOCEP DL classes work? You learn from a seasoned practitioner who leads facilitated dialogues among other professionals in the class. The dialogues are on discussion boards that you can participate in at your convenience. So you have time to think, practice what you learned, and reflect on your experience. Because most BOCEP learners are mid- and senior-level professionals, you can learn a lot from one another.
Do BOCEP classes work? The vast majority of learners – including first-time BOCEP learners – say their courses were informative and helped them in their work and careers.
Each BOCEP DL course is $295. The first 10 registrants get a $50 scholarship. (Use promotion code: BGBBS) Members of the Professional Development Institute mailing list get bigger scholarships and more information on upcoming courses and events.
BOCEP is produced by the Professional Development Institute (PDI) of Rutgers University's Edward J. Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy – which has one of the top planning programs in the United States.
