The Southampton Institute in the United Kingdom is sponsoring a competition for the most original non-fiction text on an urban theme.
The PPUK Urban Writing Award 2001 will be awarded to the author of the most original non-fiction text on an urban theme, with a 1st Prize of £200 and publication of the winning text by PPUK's Short Run Press. This year's PPUK Urban Writing Award will be given to the author of the most original non-fiction text on an urban theme. While the Award is for the most original non-fiction text, there is no restraint on the form that text may take - from essay-based polemic or critique, to a film or radio script. Texts should be between 2000 and 3000 words. International entries are accepted.
