States Ranked By Per Capita Development

A study by the American Planning Association ranks 49 states according to the per capita development rate.

A new study by the American Planning Association (APA) shows that several of the lowest population growth states have developed more land on a per person basis during the past 15 years than most of the states with the highest increase in population during the same period.The results of this study, according to APA, shows a greater rate of development on a per person basis in states like Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Louisiana where population growth has been much smaller or even declined.
