Clark County Public Works Officials are holding meetings to accept citizen's comments on the Northern 5.2 mile stretch of the Beltway as the newest section on the Western side opens for traffic. Officials tout the new beltway as important to meet the transportation needs of Las Vegas' booming population, but environmentalists fear that more roads will produce sprawl, especially without a binding comprehensive plan for development.
