The trustee of an estate owned by the billionaire publisher of the SantaBarbara News-Press is suing to overturn a coastal access easement. Theeasement is one of hundreds that the state's Coastal Commission negotiated inthe 70's and 80's as a requirement of the construction-permit process. Theoutcome of the suits could affect easements state-wide.
