SF's Mission District Fights Gentrification

The San Francisco Mission District has become ground zero in the struggle against gentrification by dot-com companies and the wealthy. A recent march was organized by the Mission Anti-Displacement Coalition, and led activitists along a tour of stores, studios and apartments being snapped up by dot-com companies and wealthier residents. Some would argue this is a positive results and shows that market economics do, in fact, work in inner city neighborhoods.
