Culdesac, developer of a massive no-parking multi-family development in Arizona, is headed to Georgia.
The developer Culdesac, famous for building apartments for 1,000 people in car-centric Tempe without a single parking spot, has been selected as the developer for a high-profile location along the Atlanta BeltLine.
In an article for Reporter Newspapers, Collin Kelley breaks the news of the decision by Atlanta BeltLine Inc. to select Culdesac as the finalist for the development of the Murphy Crossing site in southwest Atlanta.
According to Kelley, Culdesac’s proposal for the transit-adjacent site prioritizes “high density, transit-oriented development focused on preserving land for pedestrians and bicyclists in outdoor spaces protected from cars.”
“The open layout will also include residential and commercial affordability in a mix of new and existing buildings to create connectivity with the surrounding neighborhood. Additional components will include a grocery store, retail and dining options, co-working spaces, arts and culture programming and a farmers’ market,” adds Kelly.
