The Los Angeles Times, often a vocal critic of subway construction in Los Angeles, has published an extensive series of special reports and first-person vignettes of the new Red Line expansion. The special section of the LA Times website includes detailed photos and several multimedia Flash animations of the route and inside looks at the two new stations. Features include a timeline of subway construction from 1980 to present, and a profile of "people in the trenches", such as Virginia Tanzmann and Carl Davis, Architect and designer, and others.
