The U.S. Postal Service this week launched a two-week test of self-driving trucks for moving mail between Phoenix and Dallas, according to an article by Reuters, published by NBC News.
USPS is using self-driving trucks build by San Diego-based company TuSimple. The trucks will employ a safety driver to intervene if needed.
The initial test of the self-driving truck operation will involve five round trips, each totaling more than 2,100 miles.
