"Phoenix and Downtown Phoenix Partnership, supported by funding from PetSmart Charities, has transformed a small patch of grass outside Phoenix City Council chambers into downtown's first dog park," reports Jessica Boehm.
For now, the dog park is only a pilot project, with the potential for park to become permanent. "Downtown Phoenix Inc. Chief Marketing Officer R.J. Price said officials will monitor its use and maintenance. If it's well-utilized and owners are respectful of the space and maintain it, the park will remain," according to Boehm.
