The Galveston Park Board of Trustees is looking to add some bells and whistles to an already popular destination.
"Stewart Beach, one of Galveston's most popular destinations, is due for a makeover with a new pavilion full of cool amenities," reports Dana Burke.
"The design includes an amphitheater, concessions, restrooms and showers, an event venue, space for beach patrol, a rooftop restaurant and event terrace, shaded seating, a playground and a covered market space," adds Burke. Additional components of the project include infrastructure for food vendors and sand dune restoration.
The next stage of the project will be to determine funding opportunities for development and maintenance of Stewart Beach.
