The Race, Equity and Leadership (REAL) Initiative will help six cities identify and improve institutional racism.

Katie Pyzyk shares the news that the National League of Cities is launching a Cities for Racial Equity and Racial Healing Technical Assistance Initiative, choosing six cities to participate in the program.
The 15-month program "will help leaders identify institutional racism in their cities' policies and practices and help them come up with solutions to address it," according to Pyzyk.
The six cities selected for participation: Charlotte, NC; Long Beach, CA; Rochester, NY; St. Paul, MN; Wichita, KS; and Pittsburgh, PA. More info is available in a press release from the National League of Cities announcing the new initiative.
