The Trust for Public Land is working with the city of Bozeman on a master planning process for a large park on the north side of town, with connections to the city's history as a railroad town and an agricultural center.
Shellye Leggett reports on the ingredients to what is shaping up to be an idyllic park in Bozeman. The park first became possible in March, when the Bozeman City Commission purchased the site with funds from the Parks and Trails Bond. Report Leggett: "The park will be two miles north of downtown, near the Story Mill, and stretches along Bozeman Creek and the East Gallatin River."
The Trust for Public Land is working on a master plan for the park, already drawing up a conceptual plan, as shown by the attached video report on the NBC Montana page. The Trust for Public Land is so far targeting a 2015 groundbreaking and a ribbon cutting in 2017.
