Some homeowners worry abou the cost of a proposed expansion of historic district in Ann Arbor, MI.

"A proposal to expand Ann Arbor's Washtenaw-Hill Historic District nearly tenfold is causing serious divisions...The city is proposing to increase the district from the current 18 structures to 167 structures... Homeowners in the district must apply for permits from the Historic District Commission to make changes to the exterior of their house that are visible from the street."
