Century City, CA, began in 1959 as a 'centers plan.' Work, live, eat and play in the same community. Now it is changing.

Century City is bordered by Beverly Hills and Westwood. And it has the Schubert Theater, restaurants and shops. But all that is changing. The Schubert, eating establishments and shops are being torn down, and another office building is going up. Residents are unhappy that the community nature of Century City is becoming 'business only' oriented. Developers promise new cultural amenities.
