"The site would hold roughly 200 two-family homes, each with a purchase price of $200,000 - a now acceptable benchmark of affordability in one of America's costliest housing markets... The organization's effort, if successful, would rank as one the city's largest grass-roots initiatives, cobbled together by a coalition of ministers and rabbis using the most rudimentary fund-raising methods."
