Poll of Chicago suburbanites finds traffic congestion to be a major problem. Many respondents believe improving public transportation will help but don't want to use it themselves.

"35 percent said they favor providing more public transportation, but not because they want to use it. They see trains, buses and the elevated train as a way to get other motorists off the road. They would like to stay in their cars, the poll showed."
