Frank Gehry's involvement in a massive Playa Vista development is causing concern among environmentalists in CA.
Although Gehry's design will have no direct effect on the existing Ballona Wetlands near Marina del Rey, California, his involvement is seen by opponents of the project as lending credibility to a total project that environmentalists feel will do irreparable harm to the city's ecosystem. Environmentalists are hoping that he will take a stand by refusing to move his offices to this controversial site.
