"The plan would require the acquisition of 292 acres of property in Bensenville and 141 acres in Des Plaines, and the demolition of more than 300 homes, 240 apartment units and more than 70 businesses. The mayor acknowledged he expects the plan to face a court challenge.Airline officials who have long sought an expansion of O'Hare praised the proposal, though said they were surprised that it was so ambitious. But it drew immediate fire from O'Hare expansion opponents, who vowed to fight. "
