Transport Chicago 2004 - Call for Papers
Transport Chicago Conference Steering Committee
CALL FOR PAPERS
TRANSPORT CHICAGO 2004
For nearly two decades, more than 200 academics, transportation and planning professionals, and other interested parties have gathered to learn of recent research and innovations and to debate transportation policy and planning issues. The Transport Chicago Conference is an excellent opportunity to hear nationally recognized transportation experts, discover innovative industry practices and interact with colleagues.
The volunteer Steering Committee invites you to present a research paper at the 19th Annual Transport Chicago Conference on Friday, June 4, 2004. The conference is pleased to announce a new venue this year, The Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), on Chicago's near South Side.
We are seeking research papers on all areas of transportation: mass transit, freight, aviation, rail, bicycle and walking. More than 30 papers will be chosen for presentation and published on CD-ROM for conference attendees. Paper presentation will occur in two separate forums. You may indicate whether you prefer to present your paper orally or display your paper at a poster session. However, the committee retains final decision-making authority on forum selection. Student papers are also encouraged and are eligible for cash prizes.
If interested, please submit a 250-word abstract for anonymous review by the Steering Committee in the following format by Monday, March 8, 2004:
Page 1: Paper title; name and affiliation of each author; the name, postal address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address of the corresponding author; forum preference.
Page 2: Paper title, abstract (but no identification of author or affiliation).
