Annual Conference of the Texas Downtown Association/Texas Main Street program
Texas Downtown Association
The Conference is annually co-sponsored by the Texas Downtown Association and the Texas Main Street Program, with the Downtown Austin Alliance as the 2003 local host. Attendees range from city and main street managers, chamber of commerce and economic development professionals, planners, and downtown association/downtown business representatives. The Texas Downtown Association has approximately 400 members from about 200 downtowns across the state. The theme of this year's conference is Between a Hard Rock and a Green Space: Entertainment & Environment in Your Downtown. Sessions feature speakers like John Fregonese of Fregonese Calthorpe of Portland, Ore, walking tours, off-site events and awards ceremonies.
