A survey finds that congestion and housing costs are driving San Francisco region residents mad.

An annual survey conducted by the Bay Area Council, anorganization representing nearly three hundred business groups, foundthat residents of the region perceive traffic congestion and exorbitanthousing costs to be the two primary problems they face. Despite ageneral level of optimism across the nine county region about theeconomy, the interconnected problems of affordable housing being locatedin areas which require long commutes on congested freeways are severe.Both of these issues have grown in importance to Bay Area residents overthe past year.
