US House Bill 4063, authored by California Representative George Miller, Jr.and supported by both the House and Senate, sits on President Clinton's deskawaiting his signature. The bill will indemnify the "Rosie the Riveter WorldWar II Home Front National Historic Park" that was ceremoniously opened onSaturday. Hundreds of women in Richmond contributed to the war effort throughtheir work at the shipyard and their lives were forever changed by theexperience.
