"Elevators may at first be perceived as fundamentally simple. A box that can open and close and rise and fall on command should not, on the surface of it, require too much innovation or technological refinement.
And yet, buildings that reach ever higher into the sky, demand precisely that. To keep pace with and comply sufficiently with the new genre of towers fast becoming the norm in the Emirates, elevator manufacturers are having to modify as fast as buildings rise to keep up with the increasing physical and logistical demands being placed on them."
