A $75-million downtown Long Beach retail and residential complex has been approved. Opponents say Queensway Bay project should come first.

In a continuing effort to revitalize downtown Long Beach, a mall development has been approved. It is thought that the project will rival major Santa Monica and San Diego malls. Opponents say that the design is ho-hum and that Queensway Bay should have first priority in development.
